📋 Biography
I've been a software developer since 1981 and an MVP since 1996. I initially worked on developing embedded systems for real-time process control systems and tools for programmable controllers using 8085/8086 assembler, PLM-86 & Pascal. I started using 'C' on Windows (V2) applications in 1989 on a programmable controller development tool, and have mostly developed for Windows ever since. From 1993 to 2023 I worked on PC to mainframe connectivity applications, security, email applications, directory access tools, Microsoft Exchange email gateways, cross platform security applications, and for the latter years on several Office email & document classification-labelling products. Although I've used C#/.NET for many years, given the choice, I still prefer "modern" C++ and its performance philosophy - which I use predominantly in my personal projects on GitHub and at https://dave-lowndes.github.io/Jdd_Web/
