If you are not using Claude Code for your development in 2026 you are seriously missing out on a massive speedup in your development workflow! Ever since the Claude Opus 4.5 release the Claude Code CLI has sped up my development workflow immensely. From planning a whole Spring Security 7 migration by getting interviewed to letting Ralph Wiggum implement it the experience has been mesmerizing. In this session I will walk you through the most productive patterns I learned. Afterwards you know how to create your own CLAUDE.MD and leverage skills, agents and whatever the Claude Team have cooked up till April. I cannot tell you what the best workflow in 4 weeks is much less in 4 months. But I’m convinced that if you don’t keep up to date you are going to be left behind.
jvmskills.com — AI coding skills from the engineers who build the JVM ecosystem. Skills are opinionated best-practice guides that AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) use as context when writing code. The directory helps JVM developers discover, evaluate, and adopt high-quality skills for their stack. Why? AI coding tools are only as good as their context. Without guidance, they generate code that works but doesn't follow the patterns a senior engineer would use. jvm-skills fills that gap with strongly opinionated best practices. General skill directories exist (playbooks.com, skills.sh, skillsdirectory.com), but they're not focused on a specific ecosystem — and many of the top-installed skills are surprisingly shallow. The most popular Spring Boot skill on skills.sh has 9.8K installs and just tells the AI to "use Spring Boot best practices." That's not a skill — Claude already does that without one. jvm-skills only lists skills that teach the
Spring is typically only used for JSON API backend development, while the web frontend is built with a JavaScript framework. htmx enables us to create interactive web applications with server-side rendered templates without JavaScript. In this talk, you will get an introduction to htmx and server-side rendering with Spring. You will learn to use patterns you know and love from building backends to create a full-stack application with reusable components.
