Consulting Solution Lead at water IT security & defense for Microsoft 365 data security, compliance, and information governance. For more than 15 years I have helped organizations answer a deceptively simple question: where is our sensitive data, and what actually happens to it? My work sits at the intersection of sensitivity labels, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, and data lifecycle management — and, increasingly, the governance questions that arrive alongside Copilot and generative AI. What I care about is protection that survives contact with reality. The most elegant classification scheme is worthless if nobody understands it. That's why I favor pragmatic baselines over frameworks that look impressive in a slide deck and get bypassed by Tuesday. I share what I learn through the German-language podcast "Der Microsoft 365 Cloud Podcast – Produktiv und sicher," where I translate Message Center announcements into concrete recommendations.
