Empowering Science Workflows with Supercomputing and Cloud | Azure HPC MVP
๐ Biography
I am a Microsoft MVP with a PhD in Chemical Engineering, where my research focused on sustainable biofuels and biomolecules. My training spans both experimental chemistry, including gas chromatography, NMR, and infrared spectroscopy, and computational chemistry methods such as density functional theory and molecular dynamics to model reaction pathways and thermodynamic properties. I currently work at the Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre in Perth, supporting education and training while collaborating with application developers to accelerate scientific workloads, including GPU porting and optimisation. Beyond my technical role, I serve as Chair of the American Chemical Society Australian Chapter and contribute to the ACS Younger Chemists Committee. I am passionate about advancing the intersection of chemistry, high performance computing, cloud computing, and scientific education.
