Scaling AI to 10,000 humans @ Huron Consulting. Writing and speaking AI for all.
๐ Biography
I drove the program that took Microsoft Copilot from a 300-person pilot in early 2024 to nearly 10,000 employees. The work that got us there and blew right past every usage benchmark is 100% about people over tools. Getting that many professionals to long term adopt Copilot across healthcare, higher education, and many more industries takes a different discipline than turning on a license. Outside Huron, I write and speak on the human side of AI adoption: change, enablement, and the future of work, for audiences who don't get hand delivered a steady stream of vendor decks. My philosophy is that most of AI's real value is unlocked by helping ordinary people unlock new ways of learning and interaction, which is a storytelling problem as much as a technical one. I also build small interactive tools and materials to teach those skills, because the fastest way past the "I tried it once and it was weird" moment is to put someone inside a working experience.

Copilot's Agent Mode shifts the core skill from 'what do I type?' to 'how do I delegate?' After watching it chew through 700,000 rows of adoption data in minutes, I'm rethinking what our training program needs to teach next.
