๐ Biography
At university I read mathematics gaining 1st class honours degree and MSc. Following that, I undertook a research degree in Astronomy receiving the award of DPhil. I then worked for the UK government at the RAE as an aeronautics research scientist working on multidisciplinary design optimisation reaching the grade of Individual Merit Senior Principal Scientist. After privatisation of the lab I continued related work rising to Senior Fellow at QinetiQ. Following retirement, I formed my own limited company and worked under contract for QinetiQ, the UK MOD and Airbus UK and Germany. I also applied Excel to the task of reporting the results of statistical surveys for StatsPeople Ltd. Having undertaken contracts involving Excel in 3 distinct application areas, I maintained interest and offering advice on the LinkedIn platform where I both own and manage Excel groups. My current interests relate to dynamic arrays and functional programming where I seek to advance the state of the art.
