New Sample: Building SPFx Version of Viva Engage

This is one of my impactful SPFx projects that I’ve contributed to the community. As the name suggests, this sample is an alternative to Viva Engage, which comes with most of the Viva Engage features by using SharePoint list capabilities such as like/unlike posts, comments, and commenting features as well. It also has RTE support for posting engaging content and includes AI rewriting features inspired by Windows Notepad. When it comes to technical or IT pros, if they are looking for an alternative version that aligns well with their branding and want to do any customization on top of it, then this will be a great choice for them. So, this contribution will have a greater impact on the community and businesses. Technically, this project has a lot of things developers can learn, starting from using the RoosterJS package for implementing RTE support, to the implementation of features such as like/dislike and AI features.

Community call: Build an enterprise employee directory with SPFx

I had a chance to present the Employee Directory sample in the community call in April this year. It was my first-ever community call presentation. During last year’s Hacktoberfest and Refresh Ranger initiative, we had a couple of popular samples that needed to be updated to SPFx version 1.20.0, and the Employee Directory was one of them. By presenting this to the community, I was able to reintroduce the sample, explain its features, and share how I upgraded it using the SPFx Toolkit.

New Script: Retrieve & Store SharePoint Site Pages Viewers Details

SharePoint Site Analytics doesn't provide in-depth details about page visitors, as it only shows the count of unique visitors to the site. So, I created this script sample to help IT pros and admins get detailed insights about site visitors. This helps them identify users and adapt the data to their business needs.

Setting Up Tailwind CSS and ShadCN/ui for SPFx Projects

Tailwind CSS & ShadCN are among the most popular UI frameworks and libraries, but adapting them with SPFx is a bit hectic, as it involves configurations and isn't straightforward. Before creating this blog, I couldn't find any helpful resources to refer to for implementing them in SPFx. With the help of this blog, developers can easily set up Tailwind CSS & ShadCN and use them in their SPFx projects to build beautiful UIs.
