NAB BA Day 2025 on 8 December brought together analysts and technology leaders to explore how AI is reshaping the future of Business Analysis. Raj delivered a session that walked through a real day in the life of an AI enabled Business Analyst, showing how tools like M365 Copilot are already changing the way analysis, collaboration and strategic alignment happen inside large organisations. His presentation gave senior BAs, managers and executives a clear view of what leading AI driven transformation looks like in practice, with a focus on faster analysis, stronger alignment to business outcomes and a more influential BA voice in decision making spaces. The event highlighted Raj’s role as a practitioner who brings together Business Analysis, technology strategy and responsible AI, and reinforced the value of community led learning as the profession continues to evolve.
The Global BA Day 2025, held on November 14 with the theme "Analysis Everywhere," united nearly 5,000 online attendees across 24 hours and five regions. This IIBA-organized virtual event, offering CDUs and live translation in 10 languages, emphasized the profession's strategic evolution. Key impact metrics from the 2025 Global State of Business Analysis Report, heavily discussed at the event: - 76% of professionals see a growing impact of BA on strategy. - 74% view AI integration positively. - 81% of certified professionals report career benefits (e.g., salary increases) within one year. The event highlighted strong career growth and the increasing demand for human skills as AI transforms the field, solidifying BA as a crucial strategic function. Raj shared practical insights on how the BA role is evolving in AI projects, from framing the right use cases to validating AI solutions, and the skills required around AI literacy, prompt engineering, data literacy and ethical AI.
This article introduces Raj's one‑page poster that visualises the full end‑to‑end M365 Copilot workflow he previously shared through a LinkedIn carousel and Hey BA!! newsletter article. The poster distils the human‑led, AI‑assisted flow from request to delivery across Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, showing how the same insight can be shaped effectively across multiple formats—carousel, article and now a visual poster. Raj emphasises that great storytellers adapt messages for different audiences and mediums, and that while AI enhances this craft, human judgment remains central. Designed for Business Analysts, PMs, change practitioners and anyone embracing AI responsibly, the poster offers a colourful, practical reference for daily work. Raj encourages readers to share how they use it and invites those new to M365 Copilot to explore the workflow as a starting point for responsible AI adoption. I had the privilege of speaking at Global Business Analysis Day 2024, a landmark 24-hour event attended by over 7,000 professionals from more than 50 countries. My session, “A Day in the Life of an AI-Enabled Business Analyst”, highlighted the transformative role of AI and Microsoft 365 Copilot in modern business analysis. The talk sparked global awareness, inspiring BA practices across Australia, the USA, and beyond to explore AI adoption. It led to monthly speaking invitations and motivated analysts worldwide to integrate Copilot into both their professional and personal workflows.
My talk, “A Day in the Life of an AI-Enabled Business Analyst” in Sydney, significantly raised awareness of AI’s role in business analysis across Australia and globally. It inspired widespread adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot among business analysts for both professional and personal use. Following the session, I have been invited to speak monthly by BA practices in Australia, continuing to influence the evolution of AI-driven business analysis.
