Your FinOps Practitioner has helped you set up a series of tools to collect data on consumption and metrics on resource usage, allowing you to correlate them and uncover ways to optimize cloud costs. Now you can make informed decisions—but you need to learn a new syntax to query that data. Complex queries? What if instead we talked to Copilot and asked it to help us interpret the data we have? In this session, we’ll explore a practical use of FinOps Hubs, which integrates with GitHub Copilot via Azure MCP Server, enabling us to ask AI how to optimize not just AI-related costs, but the entire cloud environment. And thanks to FOCUS, we won’t be limited to a single cloud provider.
The cloud is amazing - it's dynamic. If we need more computing power or a new Kubernetes cluster, it can provide it in just a few minutes. But the ease of requesting new resources comes with a downside: If we get carried away with provisioning, the invoice at the end of the month might be an unpleasant surprise. In this session, I want to explore with you the strategies to reduce costs on Azure, and how -thanks to the tools provided by the platform itself- you can open the invoice email and still stay on your feet
